Ah. When I went, Google wasn't much help and since I was kind of stuck around Bank Street/Parliament Hill area I was kinda limited in selection. I have to admit I never thought of the Loblaws, mostly because most places in the US have just the machine made cigars and/or the really common ones (I like hunting out the not-so-common ones). If I ever go back, I'll have to look for Cigar Man and see what they have for a selection. Thanks for the hint!

I get that you were just visiting, but a lot of this information is incorrect. There are a number of places in Ottawa with a wide selection of cigars. Hell, pretty much every Loblaws has a pretty decent smoke shop. Just down the road from me is Cigar Man, which has a huge selection and knowledgeable staff (its on Bank, near South Keys).

To add to this, Bacchus at the Casino is a cigar lounge, and quite a nice one. Its BYOC or buy one off them at reasonable prices, and is gorgeous, with high backed leather chairs, a fireplace, and a view over the river. It also has fantastic ventilation, which means you arent overwhelmed by 30 people smoking cigars.

Great Article !

We work hard and pay taxes and in the end we are not allowed to relax and enjoy a cigar on a patio.
They have gone to far with these laws, I t thought we lived in a free country ?

Great article! Really embodies the whole expierence. One small quibble though, I think you mean "uninterrupted" in this sentence

"Ensure you have a couple of interrupted hours"

I've had a couple vanilla Games myself. I'm not a big cigar smoker, but the wrappers intrigued me. I enjoyed the vanilla flavour, because it was not too strong, but I felt that it was ample. I've noticed the bitter taste that Dado speaks of, about 3/4 through the cigar. I've had the same issue with a DutchMaster before.

However, I tried the Peach Game cigar and did not notice this. I did with a strawberry Phillies Blunt though, but only with one out of the 5 pack.
